Daddy, when will Mashiach be here?
Soon.
Will He be here tomorrow?
I dont know,
..maybe.
Next morning, I am awakened by the pitter pattering of feet. Daddy come see if Mashiach is here! In a half sleep, I arise and take my little 4-year old to the door and we look up and down the street.
I dont see Him sweetie, in a half yawn.
Oh Daddy, where is He? Do you think He will be at synagogue this morning?
You never know, its possible. I notice some tears on her face, so I pick her up and let her bury her head in my shoulder. I hear her in a small muffled voice. I just want to see Mashiach.
This is a true story and it happened just a few months ago in Israel . You see, Mashiach is how they say Messiah in Hebrew. And the Messiah is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Most of the Jews dont know that, but they are getting ready to find out. Now, I know that most of the Jews rejected Christ, but now I would like to show you something that the Lord showed me some time ago. Lets go to Hosea 5:15 I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. Now the I in the beginning of this verse is Jesus and He says, I will go and return to my place which He did, He returned to heaven. Okay, the they in this verse is Israel . Notice the verse says in their affliction they will seek me early. Affliction being another term for the tribulation period. (Jeremiah 16:19, Zech. 8:10 are just a couple of references) Now, when will this happen? The answer is in the very next two verses, Hosea 6:1, 2 Come and let us return unto the Lord: for He hath torn, and He will heal us; he hath smitten, and He will bind us up. Verse 2 After two days he will revive us, in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight. The Us in this scripture is Israel telling what has happened in affliction and recognizing their offense and seeking Jesus! Now, in 2 Peter 3:8 it says But, Beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Now, if Peter said dont be ignorant of this one thing, I think I better pay attention to it. If we apply it to Hosea 6:2, it would read, after two thousand years He will revive us! Two thousand years from when? From when He left, almost two thousand years ago. So, if you will allow me, let me explain what I have said more clearly. Jesus said, I will go and return to heaven until Israel acknowledges their offense and seeks my face, during the tribulation period they will seek my face early. Now Israel says, Come let us return unto Jesus for He has torn, but will heal us, He has smitten, but He will bind us up. After two thousand years he will raise us up and we shall live in His sight. So how close are we?
Hang on little girl, the Mashiach is almost here!
